Edna Carson, 94, of Hilo died Sept. 9 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in North Dakota, she was a waitress and loved cooking, gardening, cats and practicing tai chi. Celebration of life early next year. Survived by sons, Tom Carson of Hilo and Richard Schuldheisz of Arkansas; five grandchildren.

Edward Grammer Sr., 90, of Hawaiian Paradise Park died Sept. 25 at Hilo Medical Center. Born on Oahu, he was a self-employed handyman, collector of old cars, lawnmower repairman, coconut harvester, Clorox salesman and worked at the Honolulu YMCA. Visitation 9-11 a.m. Sunday (Oct. 16) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service and celebration of life at 11 a.m. Casual attire; flowers welcomed. Burial 1 p.m. at Alae Cemetery, Section J, Row A, Plot 14. Survived by wife, Patricia Grammer of Hawaiian Paradise Park; two daughters; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Raymond Earl Hanselman, 77, of Hilo died Oct. 6 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Ann Arbor, Mich., he was a retired maintenance director for Life Care Center of Hilo, Lions Club member, former volunteer firefighter in Whitmore Lake with Northfield Fire Department and U.S. Air Force veteran. Visitation 10-11 a.m. at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial to follow at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire. Survived by sons, George (Glenna) Hanselman and Shane (Alisa) Hanselman of Hilo; daughter, Raeana Victorino of Hilo; sister, Ginny Hanselman of California; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Gary Allen Vincent, 62, of Waikoloa died Oct. 7. Born in Honolulu, he was a retired police officer and owned Kartow Kohala. Private services at a later date. The late Angeline “Angie” Kehaulani Hao-Pauline was survived by, among others, brother, Billy DeMotta of Honokaa. His name was omitted from an obituary published Saturday.
